CONTACTS: HOW TO COMMISSION

However large or small the job, your brief will be followed with great commitment and attention to detail. Stoney is versatile and will be happy to make design suggestions, always keeping in mind the architectural setting and the desired effect. All work is of the highest quality, standards of excellence are vigilantly maintained. The stained glass is made using the traditional techniques with beautiful hand-blown glass.
Surface techniques and processes include:
  • painting and firing
  • silver-staining
  • acid-etching
  • sand-blasting
  • silk-screen printing with enamels that are fired on to glass
  • glass lamination
  • encapsulation into sealed units

Where possible Stoney likes to visit the site, otherwise it will be necessary to provide photographs, dimensions and information about aspect and light source if applicable. She has a large stock of glass samples to view to help you choose and envisage the finished work.

MEMORIAL WINDOWS
Stained glass can be a beautiful and lasting memorial to a loved one. The collaborative design process is carried out with sensitivity. By including details and relevant images this results in as appropriate and aesthetically pleasing a memorial as possible.

PAINTINGS
Stoney also paints, mainly in oils and occasionally in acrylics. The paintings often relate to the glass and the "bringing in of light". Paintings can be done to commission. See Royal Berkshire Hospital page in PUBLIC section.

There is a nominal non-returnable design fee. 50% of the total cost will be required as a down payment or other proportional staged payments according to the amount.
